This scholarship will be awarded each season to honor the life of Huddy who passed tragically on June 2, 2022.  The winner of this scholarship will receive a $500 scholarship as well as 2 Free lessons with Coach Nick.  The winner of this award will be someone who shows pure passion, innocence, and a love for the game of golf, just as Huddy did when playing with the Under Armour North Houston League.

The Shawn Farr Award began in our inaugural season, Fall 2021.  This award is given in memory of Shawn Farr, the father of one of our Under Armour Athletes who passed away during our Fall Season.  Shawn was a man who exemplified hard work, dedication, and loyalty.  The winner of the Shawn Farr Award will exemplify these characteristics through the game of golf and the Under Armour season. 

The winner of the Shawn Farr Award will receive free entry into the next Under Armour - North Houston league's season.

The winner will also receive a free driver, wedge, or putter, based on a free fitting done by the professionals at Impact Precision Golf.

We award $5000 a year in (4) four $1250 annual scholarships to deserving high school seniors who exemplify what our Junior Tour represents! Two will be presented at the Summer Nationals and two at the Winter Nationals annually. Applications will be available through your league director beginning October 1st and must be submitted by January 1st for the winter scholarship selections. Good luck!

League Director Nick Gerber has been in the golf business for over 15 years.  He is the Owner/Director of Instruction of Ascend Golf Academy at 4 locations serving the greater Houston area.  He is the Houston Chapter President for Caddies for Kids and is the head golf coach at Legacy Preparatory Christian Academy in The Woodlands, TX.  When not on the golf course, Nick loves hanging out with his wife and five children.
