Saddlebrook golf is renowned for its legendary greens, which offer unique challenges and rolling fairways that impress beginning players and professionals alike. Thanks to our thoughtfully-planned resort design, the first tees of both courses and the 10th tee of the Saddlebrook Course are located at the center of the resort, as are both finishing 18th holes, a few steps from meeting and guest rooms, recreational areas, restaurants, and shops.
Palmer Golf Course
Par 71 | (4500 - 5000 Yards) (9-11 Age Group)
Don't be misled by the yardage on this par 71 Arnold Palmer golf course. While many of the holes provide generous driving areas, level ground is rare and the firm green fairways are contoured to resemble a rolling New England course. Facing the green from the slanting fairways, the small elevated emerald islands are framed by white-faced bunkers, azure ponds and gently swaying palm trees. Hilly lies and sweeping Florida breezes make it challenging to attain the accuracy needed to find these targets. The Tif-eagle greens are firm, fast and undulating, allowing only a crisply struck shot to hold their surface. Surrounding the greens, the thick, gnarly Bermuda rough tangles around the club and complicates the soft touch needed to play short pitch shots. Miss the green, and you face a difficult par. Several holes require length, all reward finesse.
Saddlebrook Golf Course
Par 70 | (5250 - 5500 Yards) (12-14 Age Group)
As you travel the green fairways set in a hammock of cypress and oak, the natural beauty of the par 70 Saddlebrook Course will transport you back in time to the Florida of the Conquistadors. The signature hole, the 425-yard 18th, magnifies this sensation. The drive must be sent down an emerald ribbon between stands of towering cypress, whose branches are adorned with Spanish moss, swaying gently in the breeze. Three white-faced bunkers in the landing area are framed by the lush green of the fairway. The soft afternoon sunlight glints softly off the deep pond fronting the green, where gators and turtles rest on the bank. Blue herons stand in the water waiting for lunch to swim by, while white egrets and wood storks nest noisily in the trees. Two solid, aggressive shots will reach the green and award the player with par. Whatever the score, this Arnold Palmer golf course will provide a relaxing and satisfying experience that will keeping you coming back to tee off.

This par-72, 6,748-yard course was designed by Gordy Lewis, evoking an equestrian theme. Situated in a large Pulte home development and graced with boulevards, lovely plantings and pleasant landscaping. The course winds like a steeplechase through woods, marshland and water (on 15 holes). Bunkers adorn elevated, massive greens. The 18th hole—a 498-yard par-5 finisher—doesn’t let you forget just how big: the green, 62 yards wide, could house a paddock of six Kentucky Derby winners.
The course highlights the trifectas. Three of the par 3s are handicapped as the toughest holes on the course. This is unusual until you stand on respective tee boxes and try to decipher the club selection. The 2nd hole, handicapped 1 (perhaps the only par 3 in Central Florida with that distinction), is a 233-yard carry over water to a two-tiered green that offers no solace. There is no fronting lay-up area to soften a short drive and several bunkers travel up the left side of the front-sloping green, which is protected by a bunker in front, left, and a high-lipped mounded bunker in the rear. The circular green is nearly 30 yards in diameter. It’s an intriguing hole and a thoroughbred par 3.
The 5th requires you to carry water and marsh over 223 yards to a green virtually encircled by a horseshoe shaped bunker. The 17th is a mere 215 yards (handicapped 4) and is a long target shot trough a grave of trees to a rolling, elevated green. The 18th hole (that of the massive green) features a mild dogleg bending over ever so slightly to the right of the tee. Aim to the middle of the two palms and carry more than 200 yards over marsh to a mild and subtle landing area. Your second shot is a lay-up to the front of another marsh. The approach is to the full furlong green, which is elevated with subtle dips and a bunker in the rear.
From the starting gate to the extended finish line, Lexington Oaks is a gentle track that provides several laps of excitement and diversity. Head to the starting gate.
